“Pushing past limits, achieving greatness: The spirit of Sportsmanship”

Sport triggers physical activity through various games, which is often competitive in nature. Sports contribute to the health of anyone by generating physical and mental energy that can be transformed into action, creativity, and innovation. It is organised with the aim of using, maintaining, or improving physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment for the participants and entertainment for the spectators. It is an integral part of human life and there is a great importance of sports in all spheres of life.

A unique aspect of the sporting activities in Rathinam is that, every sport has its own coach in order to foster the pursuit of excellence. A streamlined and rigorous syllabus is in place for all sporting activities. Students compete at the district, state and even national level in a variety of competitions and over the years, our sporting achievements have become one of the hallmarks of this institution.

Cricket

Our cricket team is one of the most successful programs in the region, having won multiple championships and tournaments over the years. We offer opportunities for both male and female students to participate in cricket, with teams at different skill levels to ensure that everyone has a chance to play.

Football

Our football team has a long and proud tradition of excellence, with a history of winning championships and producing talented players who have gone on to play at the professional level. We offer both men’s and women’s teams and have a dedicated coaching staff to help our players reach their full potential.

Swimming

Our swimming program is open to all students, regardless of their skill level. We have a state-of-the-art pool and offer both competitive and recreational opportunities for our swimmers. We also have a team of experienced coaches who work with our athletes to help them improve their technique and reach their goals.

Basketball

Our basketball program is another popular choice among students, with teams for both men and women. We have a strong emphasis on teamwork and strategy, and our coaches work hard to ensure that our players are always improving and challenging themselves.

Volleyball

Our volleyball program is a popular choice among students, with teams for both men and women. We have a strong focus on team building and sportsmanship, and our coaches work closely with our players to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals.

Badminton

Our badminton program is open to all students, and we have teams at different skill levels to accommodate players of all abilities. We have a strong focus on technique and sportsmanship and encourage our players to push themselves to achieve their goals.

Chess

Our chess program is a great way for students to develop their strategic and critical thinking skills. We have a dedicated team of coaches who work with our players to help them improve their game and compete at the highest level.
